Training Courses
Training Session   Training may often be seen as a drain on a department's budget with little return on the investment. Unfortunately, without appropriate training the employment of any less-lethal system can become a huge liability with greatly increased potential for misuse

Quality training can be accomplished in a variety of ways. For example, end user training can be contracted from any number of sources outside the department. Another highly effective alternative is to use a factory certified trainer from within the department. That person then incorporates the policies and procedures of his department into his lesson plans. The course then becomes less generic and is tailored to fit that specific department.

Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. has appointed Team One Network as its Training Programs Facilitator. Team One Network's duties are to administer, schedule, and facilitate two of Sage Control Ordnance, Inc.'s certified training programs: Instructor Certification Program and Armorer Certification Program. These training programs cover all of Sage Control Ordnance's previous in-house developed courseware. In addition, Team One Network who is well known for their tactical training courses, has integrated into the Instructor Certification scenario-based tactical employment of Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. 37mm & 40mm products. The programs now have the added dimension of scenario-based training blended with a thorough understanding of the Sage System. Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. offers two certification programs:

•  Instructor Certification Program  •
•  Armorer Certification Program  •

INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
End-user training evolves from an instructor who has successfully completed the Sage Control Ordnance's Instructor Certification Training Program. The main objective is to train well-qualified departmental trainers who can go back to his or her department, develop and implement a strong lesson plan to meet his departments unique needs.
Program Description:
The Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. Less Lethal Launched Ammunition & Ordnance System Instructor Certification Program is a three day certified program. Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. certifies the course as the manufacturer and for product courseware content. Team One Network certifies the course as to the tactical training portions and for overall course content. Training is designed to produce a qualified, instructor level officer. That officer in turn develops a department sanctioned End-User qualification course. The End-User course is tailored to the department's specific policies and procedures. The Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. Instructor Certification Course is taught by specially selected and trained Master Instructors from departments throughout the United States and Canada. The Master Instructor provides the technical training while the students learn through classroom discussion and "hands on" training. The Instructor Certification program is designed specifically to fulfill the requirements for law enforcement and military Sage instructors.
Topics include:
Course design, documentation, methods of instruction, munitions characteristics, policy and procedure, legal issues and liabilities, equipment and munitions applications, colleague and staff evaluations, live fire training, qualification, familiarization firing, and numerous other topics.

ARMORER CERTIFICATION
The Sage Control Ordnance's Armorer Certification Program is tailored for the department's resident Armorer. The main objective of the Armorer Certification is to develop a self-sufficient Armorer who can repair and service the department's weapons.
Program Description:
The Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. Armorer Certification Course is a two-day course covering the SL-1 single shot and the SL-6 six shot semi-automatic revolver type launcher. The objective of the Armorer Certification is to develop a qualified departmental armorer who can inspect, maintain and repair the Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. launchers, accessories and reloading equipment. Graduates from this course will be able to establish an inspection and maintenance routine for all Sage Control Ordnance, Inc. launchers, repair, fit and replace broken parts and supervise the reloading of training munitions.
